Flag on Beach

As I was walking around the beaches of Winthrop this afternoon taking random pictures and gathering some drift wood I happened upon an American Flag. The tiny flag was stuck in the ground surrounded by seaweed just beyond the water line. I wonder who placed it there and why? Would it be washed away by the impending high tide…

Sean & Elizabeth – The Villa Wedding

Sean and Elizabeth were married at The Villa at Rider Country Club. Per usual I headed off to the groomsmen suite while Molly worked with the ladies.

I initially met up with Sean and his groomsmen at the Courtyard Marriot in Raynham while they prepared.

Our Lady Help of Christians Wedding – Rob and Vanessa

Rob and Vanessa were married at the beautiful Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Newton, MA. I met Rob and his family at the Westin Hotel in Waltham where the boys wanted to start the festivities off with a little prayer:

Owen Blair – Christmas Baby Photography

Mike, Jen and I have been friends for an extremely long time. Mike was my room mate for basically 4 years in college and we couldn’t have had more fun.  To be perfectly honest, when Jen asked me for some Christmas Baby Photography of Owen I was a little hesitant at first. I had never shot babies before, only weddings and adults. I had also heard some real horror stories about how hard it is working with little kids and babies. I must say though, with Owen, those stories are all FALSE! Owen couldn’t have been any more well behaved for our shoot. He was mesmerized by the camera and anything else that got within his reach.

If he isn’t in a magazine soon something is definitely wrong in this world.

Andrew and Kristen – ViewPoint Hotel Photo Booth

I met Andrew my freshmen year at Bentley College (now Bentley University - Go Falcons!) he was friends with my roommate and would often come over to campus with a bunch of their other high school friends to hang out. After 4 years of this we got to know each other pretty well. It turned out that we had a mutual taste in music which meant we ran into each other multiple times at shows and kept in contact online after college. When Andrew asked me if I would be willing to come take some photos at a photo booth he planned on putting together for his wedding at the ViewPoint Hotel in York, ME I jumped at the chance. I had never shot a photo booth before. Andrew picked up the supplies for the booth and I picked up my camera. The results are pretty hilarious.

Lauren and Dennis – Newburyport Wedding

Lauren and Dennis were married at the Atikinson Common in Newburyport and held their reception at the recently renovated Steeple Hall at Mission Oak Grill in Newburyport, MA. Per usual protocol I was with the groom while he got ready and Molly was off with the ladies. Lauren and Dennis were blessed with a beautiful summer afternoon for their wedding and other than a little delay from a few groomsmen (for once its the guys!!) everything went off without a hitch.

Mark and Kaitlyn – Whispering Pines Wedding Photography

I’m just going to throw it out there: Any wedding where the bride wants to set you up with one of her friends and you get to ride in a boat is bound to be a good time. Mark and Kaitlyn’s wedding was at the beautiful Whispering Pines Conference Center as part of the University of Rhode Island and I got to ride in a boat. Enough said. Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding in which I was second shooting for the fabulous Molly.

Nick and Raquel – Zukas Hilltop Barn Wedding

Nick and Raquel were married at the beautiful Zukas Hilltop Barn in Spencer, MA. The wedding was originally suppose to be outside but mother nature had her way and there was absolutely a torrential down pouring the entire afternoon. Nick and Raquel didn’t let that bother them in the least bit. Spirits were high and great times were had by all. Mother nature even decided to give us a break at the perfect time to sneak outside for a few portraits. There’s a happy ending to every story!

Andy & Lindsey – Boston Engagement

Andy and Lindsey have been long time friends of mine since college so I was super excited when they asked me to take some engagement photos for them. It also helps that they live right down the street from me in East Boston. Their apartment is literally a block away from beautiful Piers park where they often spend time during the hot summer months getting away from their apartments. A clear choice as the location for their engagement photography shoot. The weather was a little uncooperative at first which made it hard to get photo’s but as the sun began to set and those golden rays shined down the wind let up and allowed us to capture some great photos. An overall killer Boston engagement photography session.

Jessy and Steve – Boston Portrait Photography

Steve and Jessy took a little bit to get comfortable in front of the camera for their portrait session but once they did their true personalities shined through. You can tell by the photos that they are the type of couple that are all smiles all the time. For the session we hit up a few parks in East Boston for some candid and set portraits before heading down to the water on Piers Park to catch a pretty amazing sunset. It got a little cold once the sun started to set but they were both troopers. I think it was worth the wait!! You wouldn’t even be able to tell that Steve had just arrived back from a bachelor party at Foxwoods a few minutes before the session ;-p
